Our focus this year is on raising awareness of the Exmoor ponies living on the moor and, in particular, focusing how each of us can help in protecting this rare breed when we visit the Exmoor National Park.
Our key aims are to:
- Produce a pony map so that people visiting the moor can learn about the ponies
- Introduce a pony code so that those walking on the moor not how to treat the ponies
- Produce a film about the ponies so that everyone can understand how the herds live and survive on the moor and the importance of following the pony code
- Running an awareness campaign to highlight pony deaths as a results of Road Traffic Accidents.
